About

My name is Ping Tsung Li, and I'm from Asia. I am currently studying at the Media Design Program in Art Center College of Design, and there are two things that I've learned about American culture ever since I arrived to the States.

1. Every presentation starts with a good sense of humor.
2. Don't ever arrange work meetings on a Super Bowl night. <unless you're looking for a quick death>

Life in the US is a big difference for me. Here, everything is new to me, from the food we eat to the cars we drive. However, it is also this kind of difference that inspired me to see, think and to analylze thing in a different perspective. It encourages me to think globally and culturally, and reminds me to be more considerate in my designs. We are designers, but not everybody is like us.

I was born in Taipei, Taiwan. This is the city where I also completed my undergraduate degree in GraphicDesign, and served in the NAVY for two years. Besides working on graphic design,I've also been working in photography and illstration. However, here at the Media Design Program, I tend to focus more on interface design as well as physical interaction design. I believe that as technology becomes more and more integrated into our daily life. It is possiible for to create a world that we could only dream of in Sci-Fi films. I am more than passionate than ever to be one of it's creators.

In the future, I plan to look for more internships, and have more experiences in the industry before I graduate. I am interested in pushing myself more as a trans disiplinary designer, and work in different forms of media. I am especially interested in strategic design as well as interface design. Besides design, I also plan to become a wedding planner after I retire, and Iwould also want to open a coffee shop of my own.
