Food Crisis / Pricey Rice :

This is a project in which we were asked to research on a topic related to food crisis. We were then asked to organize and reveal the information we found in our research through a web based interaction design. My topic was rice, and how it played as a main element in the food shortage crisis we face today.

The Perfect Storm is how some of the analysist call the food crisis that is occuring now.
The fact is, the food crisis we face today is a consequence of misleading policies and global warming effects that have been happening for at least ten years long. This web project, is a design to reveal those causes, and find the connections between these factors. The goal is to reveal the relationship rather than just giving out facts.

My design was based on the information structure I did as a sketch, in which I tried to organize the relationship between three major elements that influenced the international rice price. Global warming, oil price and political events were the three main elements.
