Super Studio :
Super Studio is set of design research projects at MDP that has been runned for many years. Each year the first year students will be given a new topic as a team, and will have to go through a year long discourse to complete the research.
1st Term
For my class, the topic was "How does streaming media effect families?". We started out in the first term recruiting our target families. We then designed cultural probes and placed them into the homes in order to understand more about them. After analyzing the data we gathered from the probes, the next step was to create visual interpretations from the analyzed results. I created a physical portraiture for the final visualization. It allowed the audience to understand the family members from four different perspectives, and we also portraited their personalities by using different size and different weights of cubes.

2nd term :
In the second term, we did another round of probing, but this time with digital and interactive probes. My team designed an interactive dinner table that allowed the families to interact with each other through the table. It was a platform that enhanced the potential in communications and interactions.

1st prototype & final.
3rd Term
The third term of Super Studio, we were asked to indentify what we learned form the past two terms, and use that knowledge as an entry point to take a step forward. The project did not have to be related to our previous study, but ourproject had to be based upon what we've dicovered and learned, from the past two terms. This is still an ongoing project.
